Schedule & Format
- Welcome & Gear Fitting: an on-deck orientation to get you familiar with the gear before entering the water
- Pool Session: easing into the shallow end of the pool, you'll perform a few basic scuba skills needed for certification; then you'll move on to the deep end to experience what it's really like to scuba dive
Gear Included vs. Personal Gear
- Provided for Use: full set of diving gear
- Student's Personal Gear (Required): swimsuit, towel
- Recommended Gear: student should bring a .5mm or 3mm wetsuit for pool sessions if they desire, or get cold easily
Special Offers
- Students who would like to purchase a mask, snorkel, and fin set to use in the pool and on future adventures will receive a 15% discount on their gear purchase
- Students who choose to move on to an Open Water Diver Course, registering within 10 days of completing Try Scuba, will be credited the full cost of their Try Scuba fee toward their Open Water Diver Course
Attendance

- Enrolled students are encouraged to stop by Dive & Glide Scuba before their course to meet the instructor and get fitted for gear (optional)

Meet Your Instructors
Keith, co-owner of Dive & Glide Scuba. Keith has been teaching scuba courses since 1989 and is dedicated to creating safe, confident, and capable divers and snorkelers. In addition to being a NAUI® Instructor, Keith is also a SSI® Instructor.
Marc has been an instructor since 1994 and has taught at Dive & Glide Scuba since 2022. He also leads our dive club (Mid-Michigan Dive Adventures) and is bilingual (Spanish). Marc is certified as a PADI®, SSI®, and SDI/TDI® Instructor.
Jacob is an instructor, sales associate, and service technician at Dive & Glide Scuba. His training progressed rapidly after his first certification, and he earned his PADI® Open Water Instructor and EFR Instructor credentials in 2020.
