Who this is for: Students who are ready to truly embark on their journey into a Scuba Diver Life!

Schedule & Format

  • eLearning Online (included): (self-paced) to build your knowledge
  • Classroom Sessions: for review of eLearning studies and preparation to attend pool skills sessions and open water checkout dives
  • Pool Sessions: to practice and refine diving skills
  • Open Water Checkout Dives: to demonstrate ability to perform skills outside the confines of the pool environment

Included Gear and Fees

  • Provided for Use: students need only their own mask, snorkel, fins, and boots for the Open Water Diver Course of the Master Diver Combo.
  • Student's Personal Gear: students are required to use their own set of gear for all classes that follow Open Water Diver
  • Recommended Gear: gear must be cold water gear, suitable for Michigan diving
  • Chartered Dives: some dives (wreck) may require charter services; charter operator fees are not included in the course combo fees
  • First Aid Training:  first aid certifications are required to obtain the Rescue Diver certification; these course fees are not included in the course combo fee. Students may take these courses with us at an additional fee, or may provide proof of these certifications to meet the course requirements.

  • Started elsewhere? We accept Universal Referral students with proper paperwork.
  • We can get you started on the program from your current level of training completion

Attendance

  • To successfully complete this course, students must attend all scheduled classroom, pool, and open water sessions
  • Additional classroom and pool sessions may be scheduled for students, by student request, or by instructor recommendation, at no extra charge to the student; based on need for additional time for instruction or practice

Registration Deadline

  • Students may begin this Challenge at any time 
  • Online registration is not available for this course combo. Interested participants must call or visit Dive & Glide Scuba to enroll.

Enrollment

  • Ages 10+
  • Registration, medical form, and waiver required
  • If registering online, forms and eLearning access will be emailed
  • Physician approval may be required based on medical questionnaire
