At Dive & Glide Scuba, we have spent nearly three decades helping people learn to dive, continue their education, find the right equipment, and become more comfortable underwater. We do not add something new simply because it is new. We look for training and equipment that can offer divers a meaningful experience and a clear reason to learn.

Avelo caught our attention because it approaches one of the most important parts of scuba—buoyancy—in a very different way. The Avelo System uses water inside the Hydrotank to establish and adjust buoyancy. The diver remains in control, but the system is designed to stay stable as depth changes.

That can mean fewer constant buoyancy corrections and more attention available for trim, movement, awareness, a dive buddy, and the dive itself. For us, the most exciting part is not simply that the equipment looks different. It is the possibility of helping divers feel more settled and connected underwater through proper Avelo training.

We also saw an opportunity to give new divers another starting point. Now, someone who has never been certified can begin their scuba journey directly through the Avelo Diver Program—without first completing a traditional Open Water Diver course.
