Still Blowing Bubbles After All These Years

On May 17, Dive & Glide Scuba turned 29 years old. Twenty-nine years! We can hardly believe it ourselves.

What started as a small 800-square-foot shop and the "dream-job" idea of two inspired 28-year-olds has grown into so much more than a place to buy gear or sign up for a class. Over the years, Dive & Glide Scuba has moved, transformed, and become a gathering place for current divers, future divers, travelers, students, instructors, gear lovers, Great Lakes explorers, tropical trip dreamers, and people who simply needed one good reason to try something new.

We have watched nervous students become confident divers. We have watched families learn together, friends become dive buddies, and brand-new divers discover that the underwater world has a way of changing how you see everything above the surface, too.

There have been thousands of pool sessions, hundreds of open water weekends, dozens of trips, gear fittings, service benches full of regulators, late-night trip planning, early-morning departures, cold-water adventures, warm-water tropical escapes, tons of paperwork, technological advances, a few surprises, some bits of heartbreak, and more laughter than we can count.

But most of all, there have been people. Our students, customers, staff, instructors, divemasters, diving colleagues, travel buddies, club members, friends, and families are the reason Dive & Glide Scuba has reached this milestone.

So, from the bottom of our scuba-loving hearts: THANK YOU for being part of the 29 years of Dive & Glide Scuba. We are grateful, amazed, and excited to keep blowing bubbles with you.
