At Dive & Glide Scuba, our mastery-based training means developing skills to the required standard, not just checking off hours. Our instructors give you guidance and opportunities to practice before moving forward. If needed, we include up to one additional instructor-led pool session for each scheduled pool session, at no extra charge (for example, three scheduled sessions allow up to three extra). After that, further practice may be arranged for a $25 pool-entry fee per three-hour session, subject to scheduling. Certification is earned by demonstrating the required skills.

Everything you need for the learning and pool-training portion of Open Water Diver is included:
- eLearning included
- Approximately 3 hours of classroom training
- Three pool sessions (about 9 hours total)
- Small classes, maximum 8 students
Good to know: The four open-water checkout dives are required for certification and are scheduled and priced separately.

Ready to train with equipment selected to fit you? The Dive & Glide Scuba Gear Freedom Plan offers 30% down, 0% interest, and 3, 4, 5 or 6 monthly payments on qualifying gear packages starting at $500 before discounts. Your chosen equipment can be used during approved training and stays safely stored at the shop until paid in full; a properly sized gear bag is part of the package.
Eligible enrolled students still receive 10% off qualifying course equipment, and qualifying purchases earn 5% back in DG Doubloons loyalty credit, subject to program terms.

What if I need more time to master a scuba skill?
We teach for skill mastery, not just hours completed. If you need more practice, we provide up to one additional instructor-led pool session for every pool session scheduled in your course at no extra charge. For example, a course with three scheduled pool sessions includes up to three additional sessions if needed. After those, further instructor-supported practice may be arranged for $25 per three-hour pool session (pool-entry fee only), subject to scheduling. Certification requires demonstrating all required skills to your training agency's standards.
