This is the Fiji people dream about

Leave the road behind and arrive by boat.

Beqa Lagoon Resort sits on secluded Beqa Island, where lush tropical grounds, traditional Fijian-style bures and the lagoon create the kind of setting that feels removed from everyday life.

The resort spreads 25 private, air-conditioned bures across approximately 10 acres of tropical gardens and beachfront. Between dives, slow the pace with a hammock, pool time, kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, spa time, island activities and Fijian cultural entertainment.

And then there is the diving: more than 100 sites, the Great Beqa Reef, brilliant soft corals, warm tropical water and one of the best-known shark dives in the South Pacific.

Island Time Is Real

When the dive gear comes off, Fiji keeps delivering: beach, spa, pool, hammocks, paddling and unhurried tropical evenings.

The underwater reason we’re flying across the Pacific

Reefs first. Sharks too. No compromise.

The Great Beqa Reef surrounds the island with an enormous variety of diving. More than 100 dive sites, from shallow coral gardens to deeper walls and drop-offs, with water temperatures generally ranging from about 75–84°F (25–29°C).

A major reason this trip belongs on your list

The Cathedral Shark Dive is included.

Beqa Lagoon Resort’s shark program is one of its signature experiences. Divers may have the opportunity to encounter multiple shark species — including bull and tiger sharks — with experienced divemasters and shark crew, detailed briefings and a strong conservation focus.

As always, wildlife sightings, exact dive schedules and access are subject to weather, sea conditions, operator decisions and diver readiness. But unlike a basic dive package, our Dive & Glide group has been upgraded to include the shark dive.

Beqa Lagoon Resort reports Up to 9 shark species may be encountered on its shark-diving program, conditions permitting.
Your Fiji package

The base price already covers much of the trip.

Fiji trip FAQ

Is airfare included?
Yes. Fiji Airways Flight 811 from Los Angeles (LAX) to Nadi (NAN) on January 21, 2027 and Fiji Airways Flight 810 from Nadi (NAN) to Los Angeles (LAX) on February 2, 2027 are included in the Dive & Glide Scuba trip price. Travelers arrange their own transportation to and from LAX. Plan to arrive at LAX at least 3 hours before the outbound international flight, and schedule your return flight home from LAX later than 3:00 PM on February 2 to allow time for Customs, Immigration and baggage. Call Dive & Glide Scuba at (989) 486-3627 if you would like help with flight planning.
What diving is included?
Eight days of 2-tank reef boat diving, unlimited shore diving and the upgraded Cathedral Shark Dive are included. Exact sites and schedules remain subject to weather, sea conditions, diver readiness and resort operations.
Is the shark dive really included?
Yes. Our Dive & Glide Scuba group package was upgraded to include the Cathedral Shark Dive. Wildlife encounters are never guaranteed, and participation remains subject to resort/operator requirements and conditions.
What certification level is recommended?
This trip is best suited to certified divers comfortable with boat diving and tropical open-water conditions. Site access — including the shark dive — is ultimately determined by the resort based on certification, experience, diver readiness and conditions. If you are newly certified or have been out of the water for a while, call us and we can help you prepare.
Is Nitrox included?
Nitrox is optional and may be added for $120 for the week. Nitrox certification is required.
Can a non-diver come?
Beqa Lagoon Resort offers plenty for non-divers, including snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, spa time and cultural activities. Contact Dive & Glide Scuba for availability and the applicable non-diver pricing before registering.
Do I need travel and dive insurance?
Insurance is not included. Dive accident insurance and travel/cancellation coverage are strongly recommended, especially because cancellation penalties increase as the trip approaches.
Who do I contact with questions?
Call Dive & Glide Scuba at (989) 486-3627. We can help with registration, trip details, dive preparation and travel-planning questions.
