Join us and start your Avelo™ diving adventures on the Avelo System . You’ll learn the skills you need to dive safely and confidently — and join a community of underwater explorers who love the water just as much as you!

Prerequisites
- No prior scuba experience required.
- Be 13+ years of age: Students ages 13-17 must have parental consent.
- Basic swimming skills are required.
- Complete the required forms: participation form, medical form, and liability waiver must be complete prior to participation
Schedule & Format
- eLearning Online (included, $225 value): (self-paced) to build your knowledge (must be completed prior to in-water training)
- eLearning Review: prior to your dives you'll spend about 30-45 minutes at the dive site reviewing the Avelo System, assembly, and dive plan for your training
- Open Water Dives: Two (2) open water dives to learn the Avelo System and practice diving skills
Gear Included vs. Personal Gear
- Provided for Use: the Avelo System, regulator/octo, dive computer, wetsuit, hood, gloves, SMB (surface marker buoy), whistle
- Student's Personal Gear (Required): mask, snorkel, boots, fins
Attendance
- To successfully complete this course, students must attend all scheduled sessions
- Additional sessions may be scheduled for students by instructor recommendation, at no additional charge to the student
Registration Deadline
- Register at least one week before your desired class start date to allow for time for completion of eLearning prior to your classroom session

Meet Your Instructor
This course is taught by Josh Wilson. Josh obtained his Open Water Certification due to an opportunity presented by the Patriots for Disabled Divers (PFDD) nonprofit organization. He actively continued his certifications and is presently a PADI® Open Water (and many specialties) instructor, Avelo™ instructor, and Cylindex® instructor. If you want to learn to dive or need a dive buddy for an excursion, Josh is available.
