Who this is for: Kids ages 6 to 14 who are ready to learn more about snorkeling and safely in pools, lakes, and the ocean. No prior experience required.
Fin & Float Adventures
This is a kid-friendly snorkeling class for ages 6 to 15. Kids are grouped by ages 6-10, and 11-15.
Young adventurers will learn essential snorkeling skills. Through games and challenges, they will also earn cool prizes! This event is perfect for building confidence and comfort in the water, and sharing big smiles and fun with other kids who have the same interests.
Complete enrollment anytime online or in-person at Dive & Glide Scuba. Cost is $45 per child. Additional children in the same family are $40 each. Please call (989) 486-3627 during business hours to register more than one child at a time.

Schedule & Format
- Pool Deck Review: learn proper gear fit, how to clear your mask and snorkel, finning skills, tuck and dive, and how to equalize pressure in your ears to prevent injury
- Pool Session: this 3-hour pool session introduces you to the skill and allows practice time too
Gear Included vs. Personal Gear
- Provided for Use: mask, snorkel, and fins
- Student's Personal Gear (Required): swimsuit, towel
- Recommended Gear: student should bring a .5mm or 3mm wetsuit for pool sessions if they desire, or get cold easily
Gear Special Offer
- Students who would like to purchase a mask, snorkel, and fin set to use in the pool and on future adventures will receive a 25% discount on their gear purchase
Attendance
- This course 1 pool session
- Enrolled students are encouraged to stop by Dive & Glide Scuba before their course to meet the instructor and get fitted for gear (optional)

Meet Your Instructors
Keith, co-owner of Dive & Glide Scuba. Keith has been teaching scuba courses since 1989 and is dedicated to creating safe, confident, and capable divers and snorkelers. In addition to being a NAUI® Instructor, Keith is also a SSI® Instructor.
Marc has been an instructor since 1994 and has taught at Dive & Glide Scuba since 2022. He also leads our dive club (Mid-Michigan Dive Adventures) and is bilingual (Spanish). Marc is certified as a PADI®, SSI®, and SDI/TDI® Instructor.
Jacob is an instructor, sales associate, and service technician at Dive & Glide Scuba. His training progressed rapidly after his first certification, and he earned his PADI® Open Water Instructor and EFR Instructor credentials in 2020.
