PADI® Deep Diver
During the PADI® Deep Diver course, you'll learn how to plan deep dives, manage your gas supply, and identify and manage narcosis. You'll learn about buddy contact procedures, safety considerations, and buoyancy control at depth.

This course includes:

4 open water dives with your PADI instructor. You'll practice descents, buoyancy, and safety stops. Through hands-on exercises, you'll discover how deep dives affect color, physical objects, and your brain.
This course does NOT include:

eLearning online; eLearning cost is billed in addition to the course fee.

Scuba gear; students are expected to use their own gear during the course. Gear may be rented at a 50% discount if needed.

Ages 15+ are invited to attend, and our course size is limited to 6 students whenever possible.

Prerequisites: Open Water Diver Certification

Advanced registration, and completion of class and medical forms, are required.

This course is taught by instructor Jacob Nelson or instructor Marc Ellis. Jacob is an instructor, sales associate, and service technician at Dive & Glide Scuba. His dive training progressed quickly after he earned his first diving certification. He earned his PADI Open Water Instructor and EFR Instructor certifications in 2020. And, shortly thereafter, he also obtained his SSI Instructor certification. Marc has been an instructor since 1994 and has been teaching at Dive & Glide Scuba since 2022. In addition to training divers, he also heads up the organization of our dive club (Mid-Michigan Dive Adventures) meetings and events. Marc is bi-lingual (he speaks Spanish) and holds multiple diving instructor certifications as a PADI, SSI, and SDI instructor. To learn more about our staff members, visit our Dive Team page.
