Availability: In Stock
Unlike wetsuits, drysuits are filled with air. During your drysuit course, your instructor will teach you how to control the air in your drysuit along with your buoyancy. You'll also learn about different types of drysuits, basic drysuit repairs and maintenance.
- PREREQUISITES: Completion of a PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification).
- COURSE INCLUDES: eLearning online, 1 class session, 2 pool sessions, 2 open water dives, use of a drysuit, and drysuit shampoo.
- FOR YOUR SAFETY AND ENJOYMENT: Our course size is limited to 6 students whenever possible. Ages 10+ are invited to attend. Divers must be in good physical condition to enroll.
- USE OF DRYSUIT IS INCLUDED IN FEE: No other gear is provided. If you need gear, our instructor will assist you in choosing the items that best suit your needs and budget. Or, you may rent gear at 50% off rental rates for use in training.
- ADDITIONAL FEES: You will receive a drysuit neck seal and wrist seals that will be cut to fit you and are yours to keep. A $200 refundable drysuit use deposit is required at the time of registration. When you return your assigned drysuit, clean and dry, upon conclusion of the course, your drysuit use deposit will be refunded to you.
- ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Medical forms and waivers must be completed before participation. Based on the answers you provide on your medical information form, you may be required to obtain physician approval to dive. The non-refundable deposit fee for this course is $50, plus the cost of eLearning if it has already been activated.

This course is taught by instructor, Marc Ellis.
Marc has been an instructor since 1994 and has been teaching at Dive & Glide Scuba since 2022. In addition to training divers, he also heads up the organization of our dive club (Mid-Michigan Dive Adventures) meetings and events. Marc is bi-lingual (he speaks Spanish) and holds multiple diving instructor certifications as an SSI, PADI, and SDI instructor.
