PREREQUISITES: PADI® Adventure Diver/Junior Adventure Diver (or qualifying certification) with completed Underwater Navigation Dive.

COURSE INCLUDES: eLearning online (8-12 hours), and in-water training scheduled over 2-7 days.

FIRST AID COURSES: CPR and First Aid certifications are required to earn your Rescue Diver Certification, but are not part of the training in this course or included in the course fee. Your Rescue Diver Certification card will not be issued until you provide the instructor with proof that you have these necessary certifications. If you do not have these certifications, Dive & Glide Scuba offers these courses. You may register for them here: FIRST AID CLASSES

FOR YOUR SAFETY AND ENJOYMENT: Our course size is limited to 6 students whenever possible. Ages 10+ are invited to attend. Divers must be in good physical condition to enroll. Registration forms and waivers must be completed to participate.

USE OF DIVE GEAR IS NOT INCLUDED IN FEE. Dive gear needed for this course: regulator, octo/safe second, buoyancy compensator, dive computer/gauges, compass, 7mm wetsuit, hood, gloves, mask, snorkel, fins, boots, flashlight, surface marker buoy, tool (dive knife), tanks, and weights. If you would like to purchase gear, our instructor will assist you in building a dive gear package. Or, you may rent gear at 50% off rental rates for use in training.

ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Medical forms and waivers must be completed before participation. Based on the answers you provide on your medical information form, you may be required to obtain physician approval to dive. The non-refundable deposit fee for this course is $50, plus the cost of eLearning if it has already been activated.

Marc has been an instructor since 1994 and has been teaching at Dive & Glide Scuba since 2022. In addition to training divers, he also heads up the organization of our dive club (Mid-Michigan Dive Adventures) meetings and events. Marc is bi-lingual (he speaks Spanish) and holds multiple diving instructor certifications as a PADI, SSI, and SDI instructor. Jacob is an instructor, sales associate, and service technician at Dive & Glide Scuba. His dive training progressed quickly after he earned his first diving certification.
